ok...my neighbor and I were just outside talking about him getting divorced. His wife kicked him out over 14 months ago. He has since moved in with another woman. I was wondering how many alcoholic drinks does it take you personally to black out (i.e. how good are you at drinking). I usually black out after about 14 to 17 drinks, but occasionally I will remember everything for 20+ drinks. I know everyone has a different tolerance for booze, I was just curious how the booze tolerance correlates to your susceptibility to blacking out. Stinky flatware/utensils - HELP!?

I have a huge batch of flatware that was left in the dish pan (I don't have a dishwasher) for too long and now it smells like a combo of rusty metal and fish oil (though I haven't made fish in a long time!). Last October I had stools that were bloody and diarrhea. I went to see a gastroenterologist who preformed a colonoscopy. He diagnosed me with ulcerative colitis gave me a prescription and a diet I was to follow, I had to follow-up with him in 1 month. My follow-up appointment was in December and I took my husband with me. I couldn't swallow and was choking on the medicine plus I told him I was now just bleeding like a menstrual cycle but in the . He yelled at me because I stopped taking the meds and sent me on my merry way. I had not been able to eat anything for almost a week but he didn't seem to care. A couple days later I had my first appointment with my rheumatologist, she took 1 look at me and said do you want to go to the hospital now or tomorrow morning, I chose the later. I was admitted to the hospital and given an IV and some meds. My gastro Dr came and gave me an endoscopy but yelled at me why I had not told him this was going on, the endoscopy came back I had severe stomatitis(thrush). I was put on a feeding tube but I was still bleeding internally. My gastro Dr did not come back till 2 days later he walked into my room asked how I felt than left. Later a nurse told me he all he talked about was his wife was leaving him, he didn't order any tests or meds and only glanced at my chart. That was the last time I saw him and I was there for a week. I was given 4 pints of blood and plasma. My PCP and rheumatologist had to ask another t to take a look at me. We never did discover why I was bleedinginternallyy. I have not seen my gastro Dr since, I feel if I had not went to my rheumatologist appointment I would not be here today. So should I sue him or not? As I have a medical background I know from other patient experience that when you sue a Dr other Dr's are sometimes scared to take you on as a patient.

I can only tell you about my aunt who is a young healthy 96 year old, she claims the only thing that has kept her going is her cigarettes and a whisky at bedtime? Then there is my cousin who has always been a vegetarian, exercises daily, runs marathons, doesn't smoke and only the occasional gl of wine and he is 34 years old and recently taken into hospital with heart pains and now needs an operation, so you can chose which diet you prefer and hope for the best. As for your suggestions, have a light breakfast before you exercise as you need food in your stomach and carbs etc to keep your blood sugar levels normal and healthy, 7 hours sleep a night is what a doctor would recommend, you don't need all the things you put down for breakfast, oatmeal or eggs but not both, with orange juice or tea/coffee, the green tea wont do any good but make you pee all day, it claims to have anti oxidants in it but if your body is working as it should it will detoxify itself without the green tea. Lunch should be a ham or chicken salad sandwich with some fruit, evening meal, fish or chicken or pasta with plenty veg and salad or potato, drink plenty of water and eat fruit. i have to stick to a healthy diet as i am now a diabetic.

Will I win my SSI case?

I had a spinal fusion and it is healed. My facet joints have shifted due to arthritis. I have arthritis from T6 to L5 S1. I am also obese 264lbs. I also have tachycardia. The doctors can't keep my heart rate and blood pressure under control. I take 3 different heart medications, Fentanyl..which is 80 times more potent than morphine for pain, xanax and hydrocodone for breakthrough medication. I also take gabapetin and xanaflex..muscle relaxer. My current mri shows the fusion has healed but my back hurts everyday. Probably the fusion and arthritis causing the pain. My doctor wrote a letter stating I am unemployable for a minimum of 2 years if not permanently and my heart isn't at a functional level. I have been denied twice for ssi and that happened before my surgery. I now have a lawyer but she is worried because the new mri shows that the fusion has healed. I have depression as well because of the pain and my son has Autism. I know you can't predict the future but my hearing is on the 19th and I want to know what others think, will I get my SSI?

Where are the meteors?

This might be a bit of a stupid question, but when a meteor/asteroid impacts the earth or moon, where does it go? Why is there no big hunk of rock or metal left in the crater? Problems with my mother in-law?

My mother in-law and I have been super close ever since my husband introduced me to his parents when we were still dating back in spring 2001 and we never had any issues whatsoever. I started getting very irritated once my daughter was born. Because I don't get along very well with my blood mother .. my mother in-law came up and stayed with my husband and I. She even helped me through labor/delivery, which I was very appreciative and thankful. Things started to fall apart when I couldn't get the hang of my daughter latching on because my daughter was born 3 weeks early than her scheduled due date and she had a poor sucking so she never latched on. My husband and I borrowed a hospital grade pump from the hospital, which my MIL became very upset with me every time I used it. I even used a shield, which she told me a story about snatching those things away from her girlfriend because in her opinion mothers should be able to latch their babies no problem and it's unnatural for mothers to be using shields or even pump so she had snatched them away from her girlfriend, which she then flushed them down the toilet to make a point. One day, after I finished pumping my for milk .. my MIL stormed into my bedroom, which is a safe and private place for me to relax and she yanked her top off (shirt/bra) and shoved her perfect / in my face telling me how she was able to feed both of her boys no problem. Her s weren't inverted like mine are. Since that day, I was so pissed off and so upset the next day I confronted her without bringing my husband into the middle because really this was between my MIL and I. She totally got scared of me and started having attitude problems towards me. Anyways, since then my MIL and I haven't been as close as we were and whenever we see each other or whenever she emails me she has this attitude problem where she says things that would make me offended. She'll say things that aren't true so I always have to reply back to her emails letting her know that what she is uming isn't true or I hate it when she compares me with her other daughter in-law. My sister in-law is a whole other story, which we have nothing in common whatsoever. Anyways, I am unsettled because my sister in-law and her daughter are flying back in from their Christmas/New Years vacation from visiting her family and my brother in-law and his mom are coming to visit with my daughter and I tomorrow, which they will be staying with us for about 3 hrs. Cringes. Now I understand when others (some) have issues with their MIL. How do you deal with this? Also, it annoys me when MIL constantly brags about what her boys did when they were infants now that my daughter is an infant. It's so annoying!! I tried talking to my husband about this, but every time that I do is when I make his feelings upset and if you're curious he's a mama's boy so not sure if that matters or not, but how do you daughter in-law cope with this? My stepson who lives with us and has for awhile, has began saying he wanted to move back with his mom when his mom finally started calling him after she realized the judge made it clear she does and will have to help support her child, which she hasn't done. Well, she went from only calling him after my stepson would try and contact her for weeks, and she finally would call back, to calling him EVERYDAY. Well, when he said he would move back she bought a ticket for him to fly out to her. She does not have a stable lifestyle and just isn't in the position to put her sons needs above her wants, so no way would we send him to her. Well, when my hubby made it clear to my stepson he isn't going anywhere he put up a half hearted short fight. Afterwards we thought he would be totally pissed, but he was relaxed and friendly, more then he has been in awhile, and no it didn't seem like acting, as he would have just went to his room instead of spend the rest of the evening and night with the family. Anyway, now we have her sister (all family lives close to us,) interdering. Some things we heard her say, etc. sounds as if she is going to be taking him to the airport if we do not, with or without our permission. We contact our local PD and they explained she cannot do this as she is neither a parent or legal guardian and that it would be kidnapping without my husbands permission as he has lived with us for over 6 months (he has lived with us for over a year.) How do we explain to her without it sounding like a threat that if needed we will do this, that as a teacher she does not want to get invloved (she could lose her license to teach,) and needs to let the PARENTS deal with issues with their CHILD.

Child Support and getting Sole Custody?

I have an open child support case through my state and have had one for six years, and have barely received anything. My son is six years old now, I am his mother and have been his primary gaurdian. His father left when he was an infant, basically he is a deadbeat dad and has been in and out of jail/prison. I was never married to him but his name is on the birth certificate. I never thought I would ever have to proceed with anything thru the Courts because his dad never wanted anything to do with my son in the first place. I am worried now though that because he paid a little bit of child support thru the years that now he could get visitation rights, but he never made any effort to do that so far. I want Sole Custody of my son, his father and the life he lives is no good. Would it be wise for me to proceed and ask for Sole Custody or would the judge just tell me he can get visitation rights now because he paid me a little bit of child support that he pretty much earned all while he was in prison? What sort of rash or ailment has my son caught?

I recently moved from Texas to Colorado. My son, 10 years old has developed a rash in the creases of his arms and on one of his legs. I have been applying a topical ointment. I believe it started after being around a friends pet. It is not ringworm. the itching is not intense or constant. They seem to be more pinkish or his skin color. Intermittent fault with a volvo?

My friend's elderly but reliable automatic volvo has an intermittent fault which is proving impossible to find. Within the first 5 minutes of using it from cold, when he takes his foot off the accelerator e.g. approaching traffic lights, it cuts out. During that time he has no steering or brakes. It can be started after a short wait. He has had the rev sensor + ociated parts changed and the throttle sensor repositioned, all to no avail. Browning A-5 Serial Number & Manufacture Date?

I have a Browning A-5 that was my grandfather's upon trying to do some research on it I located the Serial Number. It reads 46121 and under it C47 by looking online i have come to the conclusion that the gun is circa 1926. When I found this out I almost literally ped out. Keeping fish tank clean?

I need some advice on my 200lt fish tank. I clean it thoroughly once a fortnight. I drain 3 quarters of the water, scrub all the plants and ornaments (all fake ones) vacuum the rocks re fill. I use water conditioner and some other stuff but after 1 week everything is completely green again! The water is still clear just everything else is covered in algae. Eero Saarinen Tulip Stool ?

I have this set of four yellowish white metal tulip stools and I believe they are from 1950's-1970's. They are almost identicle to the Eero Saarinen style but the round cushion sits on top and the top of the stool has an edge that holds it in. The Saarinen stools don't have that edge. Wicked bad cold and can't sleep. I have taken nyquil...help?

I take dayquil or sinus stuff during the day and nyquil at night. It helps a little bit to make my sinuses feel better, but thats it. The nyquil does not put me to sleep at all :[ what do i do? Nothing is really seeming to help that much. I hate tea so don't suggest that. I haven't tried vitamin c...well i did have orange juice. But its wicked bad half stuffy, half runny nose, earache(s), headache thing.

Feed for a Thoroughbred?

Hi, i have a 12yr old TB mare who is losing weight due to my paddocks becoming bare with the winter. I am trying to come up with a feed plan for her that will be effective but not cost me a fortune as i don't really have the money to spend. So i am looking for things i could get for her that would condition her and help her keep weight on, and gain more weight. Any suggestions? My sister has been finding acorns in a variety of odd spots in her log cabin out in the country. There does not appear to be any mouse droppings or chewings near by. She found one on top of the TV (!!) and a whole row neatly tucked into the area between the mattress and the box springs on her bed. Freaky!
