it could be an inner ear thing. go to www.health24.com ask the online doc and he will let you know (usually within 1 day) whats wring and give advise on what medication you should take. if its really a big problem that needs further attention he will tell you to go to the doc. don't worry its prob not as bad as you think my jaw also pops now and then. good luck. hope you feel better :)
