Can we all just step back and take a breather? Dem's Rep's alike please?

all the bickering about who's right ,who's left is really getting old.i tried to switch over to the jokes just for some laughs,and i find myself right back into the political arena.we are not republicans or democrats we are americans i guess.maybe we should start to act like it before its to late.is it possible ? can we do it?
